Supporting UN-Habitat Bahrain's initiative to plant 1.8 million trees by 2035, enhancing urban sustainability and improving Bahrain's living environment through data-driven strategies and AI-powered analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating global experts and managing project timelines
- Supporting data collection, processing, and geospatial analysis
- Providing expertise in data, AI, and permaculture to inform project direction
- Collaborating with the Bahrain Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations
Project Contributions:
- Supported the creation of a comprehensive fact sheet with maps and synthesized statistics
- Contributed to design guidelines based on 40+ site visits, focusing on regenerative methods
- Assisted in developing functional requirements and mockup for an ArcGIS ESRI dashboard, including integration strategy with existing government systems
- Supported proposal and kickoff for a water conservation project to save 250,000 m3 of water through awareness campaigns and fixture installations in 2,500 households
- Contributed to proposal educating Dubai Municipality on ethical AI use in urban planning
